Amir, aged approximately 30 to 32 years, was serving as the Chairman of Union Council-1 and was affiliated with the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP). According to initial reports, the incident took place while Amir was present inside his office located at Gulshan-e-Zia, Gali No. 1. Two unknown suspects, riding a motorcycle, approached the location and opened fire on him.
Following the attack, emergency responders from Chhipa Ambulance Service transported the victim to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. However, Amir succumbed to his injuries before reaching the hospital.
The motive behind the shooting remains unknown, and law enforcement agencies have launched an investigation into the matter. Police are reviewing CCTV footage from the surrounding area and conducting inquiries to identify and apprehend the culprits.
The Pakistan Peoples Party has strongly condemned the incident, calling for immediate action against those responsible. The killing has sparked concern among local residents and party workers, raising questions about the state of law and order in the area.
